This course explores the relationship between divine providence and the regularities of the natural world, examining various theological and scientific models that attempt to reconcile God’s sovereign action with observable natural processes. Special attention is given to the compatibility and potential tensions between Scripture and contemporary science, addressing topics such as natural laws, creationism, intelligent design, and evolutionary theory. Through critical engagement with historical, philosophical, and theological perspectives, students will be equipped to articulate a coherent evangelical response to the challenges and opportunities posed by scientific advancement.
