Teaching them diligently — together.
Bible - PE - Worldview - Chapel
Wednesdays
9am - 11am
Village Homeschool Commons is a free weekly gathering for homeschooling families at Village Church. We meet Wednesdays from 9am to 11am during the school year.
The first hour is Bible, theology, and worldview instruction taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. The second hour alternates between a PE program and Chapel. Village Homeschool Commons exists to give your family the things that are hard to pull off at home by yourself: solid teaching from your church, real physical activity with a group, worship together, and over a hundred other kids to grow up alongside.
What it is
Free, and it will stay free. No tuition, no fees, no membership.
A weekly gathering — Wednesdays, 9am–11am during the school year.
Bible, theology, and worldview taught by your own pastors.
A PE program and Chapel services, alternating in the second hour.
A community: field trips, a back-to-school picnic, a Christmas party, an end-of-year party, a talent show, and a graduation ceremony as our high schoolers finish.
For every family at Village Church that homeschools, no matter what curriculum you use or what else you're a part of. The only requirement for participation is that you are a regular attender at Village!
What it isn't
Not a co-op, academy, or a school. We're non-accredited, but feel free to use our courses for your transcripts!
Not a full curriculum. Do what works best for your family - our classes are exclusively Bible and worldview-oriented.
Not a replacement for you. Deuteronomy 6:7 hands the teaching of your children to you — "You shall teach them diligently to your children." We're here to help you do that, not to do it for you.
Not exclusive. If you're already in a co-op, a hybrid program, or doing your own thing entirely, you're still welcome here.
