Worship Services - 9a and 11a Midlothian, 10a Chester

We have resumed indoor worship services at 9 am and 11 am in Midlothian, and 10 am in Chester.

Chester is now gathering at the Cultural Center of India building, at 6641 Ironbridge Parkway in Chester.

Village Kids Details

Village Kids is now operating at each service for birth - 5th grade.

The decision to open Village Kids comes in light of a large amount of data that shows that children are not at risk for illness from Covid, nor are they a significant source of transmission to others.

Worship Service Details

During the worship service, we will seek to limit contact in every way that we can. Chairs will be spaced out more than normal, we will not pass anything in the congregation, there will be no refreshments served for now, and greeters will not shake hands. We will continue to clean high contact surfaces throughout the morning. We do not intend to use an RSVP system at this time, as there should be enough seating in each service.

An overarching principle for the church community must be that each individual should determine for themselves and their family the best way to re-engage with corporate worship. If you would like to wear a mask please do, and you should feel comfortable doing so. If you would not like to wear a mask, that is your decision also. In the spirit of Romans 14, we will not bind consciences, nor place moral judgments on matters of personal conviction. We ask that each member of Village Church have this attitude and heart with each other. The world may not understand this, but we will.

We know that not everyone in our church community will return to indoor worship at the same time, and that is OK. The live stream will continue to be available at 9 am and 11 am. If you are sick, you need to stay home. If you are in a more vulnerable population or live with someone who is and need to take extra precautions, your church family understands and supports you.

Now, more than ever, we need to come together in order to move the mission of Jesus forward to more and more people. It’s a joy to live the mission of Jesus with you, and we look forward to what God is going to do through Village Church in the coming months.

If you have any questions about our service plans, do not hesitate to e-mail Nate Schlomann, nate@villagechurchrva.com.

Live the mission,
Village Church Pastors
