Outreach Opportunity with RVA Hope Center
Coming up on Saturday, March 20 from 9am to 1pm, volunteers from Village will have an opportunity to aid the work of RVA Hope Center in Richmond. That morning we will help RVA Hope Center get their property ready for use this spring as they seek to minister to the surrounding community. There will also be a chance for some volunteers to visit with residents to encourage them with the gospel and pray for them.
The RVA Hope Center is a faith-based nonprofit that focuses on transforming hearts and lives through the love and power of Jesus Christ. After starting to minister to the community in 2017, they have recently been given the use of house in the Creighton Court Community. They plan to use this house, known as the Lighthouse, as a base to reach the people in the community there by hosting Bible studies, mentoring, tutoring, and providing other services that aid community members. They aim to regularly minister in the community on Saturday mornings as well as weekday afternoons in the summer months.
