The one-day Genesis Seminar will equip students to recognize how the book of Genesis provides the basis for understanding not only the remainder of the Bible but also our place in the world.
Schedule:
9am - Session 1 - Modern Problems Require Ancient Solutions: The Creation Account of Genesis
This session is a systematic treatment of the first three chapters of Genesis that directly applies the book to our modern context and culture.
10am - Session 2 - Primeval Saints: The Characters and Covenants of Genesis
This session is a more exegetical approach to the remainder of the book, making sure to understand it in its original context and as a basis for the remainder of Scripture.
11am - Session 3 - Seed of the Woman: The Christ of Genesis
This session focuses on biblical theology and draws out the Christological themes and focus found throughout the book of Genesis. The answers really are in Genesis!
There is no fee for this seminar, but there is a recommended book that you may purchase to complement the lectures: Primeval Saints: Studies in the Patriarchs of Genesis by James B Jordan.
This class is open to anyone who would like to attend.
